Fancy Friday- Technique Spotlight!

Thursday, February 26

Welcome to this month's Fancy Friday Blog Hop!
The gals decided on "Techniques" for the theme & since it seems to be all the rage right now I jumped on the Bokeh bandwagon. Lol!

First step was random sponging on Whisper White cardstock with Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, & Crisp Cantaloupe.

But after trying the original way with the sponging of white craft ink & plastic stencils & all that craziness I decided to cheat a bit & use the cute dots from the Best Year Ever stamps set paired with the dot from the Work of Art set. I stamped them in White Craft but they didn't jump out as much as I hoped so then I added a bit of White Embossing powder to some of the spots. Over all I was happy with how it came together! Thanks for taking a look!

I am sure Cathy has created something beyond amazing so lets hop on over to check it out!

Stampin Up Artisan Blog Hop- More Butterflies!

Wednesday, February 25

Welcome to this week's Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
Glad you have joined us!

If you follow my blog you may know how much I absolutely adore butterflies! So since this was the last project for this months fabulous box I had to spotlight my favorite product again- the Butterfly Basics thinlit dies!

I wanted to fancy up some clothespins to give as gifts but wasn't quite sure about how to package them up...so I took one of our chevron bags & added some Fast Fuse along the sides & folded it up. I used a couple staples to make extra sure it wasn't going anywhere. Added a little more embellishing, a couple chocolate squares & clipped the pin on the front. So easy but still a lovely token of appreciation!

My next project is a birthday card I created for a friend & you may have gotten a sneak peek if you follow me on Instagram-

A couple of fun things going on here...

My daughter accidentally cut one of the rosettes that come with the Artisan Embellishment Kit a little too close so it started to come apart but it was so cute I decided to save it & use the little bit that was still in tact as show above. I took the other part & attached it under my sentiment banner & it made an adorable little scalloped edge ribbon!

Last little trick is I colored my Something Borrowed Embellishments with my Coastal Cabana Blendabilities! I have done a few different colors now & they are so cute!

Well that's all I have for now so let's go see what Sarah is up to~

Leadership Artisan Samples 2015- Chalk Ink Refills

Friday, February 20

Welcome to our Friday shares of the projects we created for the Stampin Up Leadership conference display boards!
This week I am sharing the samples I created with the new Chalk Ink Refills. When I got my box & saw the refills I thought maybe the ink pads had mistakenly not made it in to the shipment so I contact our fabulous team leader at Stampin Up & asked about. We'll turns out no mistake was made & I was assigned just the refills- hmmm well I am always up for a challenge! So I mixed up the refills with alcohol in the spritz bottles & used the stencils to make some backgrounds.

On the last one I sprayed a doily & I really like how it turned out so I will definitely be trying that again! Well that's all the fun I have for now but make sure you go
check out what the rest of the gals have created!

Stampin Up Artisan Blog Hop- Blenders

Wednesday, February 18

Welcome to this weeks Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
Today we get to share the projects we created for the Stampin Up Facebook page.
Its always a highlight of my month to see everything that the team creates since they always save their very best stuff for this week- not saying that everything they do isn't phenomenal but I think they sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on the creations that go to the corporate page!

Ok enough blah blah, how about we see my contribution to this months parade of eye candy...

This cherry blossom image is so beautiful & after seeing so many perfectly colored masterpieces, I must admit, I was a little intimidated. So I went a very different route as not to be compared with the others. Lol! I used a Blender Pen & Soft Suede ink to color the flower. Then used the lightest Soft Sky Blendabilities to go around the image & then softened the edges with the Color Lifter. This is a great image to practice your coloring skills!

Ok lets keep the momentum going & hop on over to Sarah's blog!
